New ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Set Photos Offer First Look at Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster

Entertainment Weekly has made every MCU fan’s Wednesday by releasing nine new photos from the set of Thor: Ragnarok. The photos feature all the principle characters we’ve been anxious to see including the first real look at Jeff Goldblum‘s Grandmaster.

Have a look for yourself:

The Grandmaster is one member of the cosmic group of beings known in the comic side of the Marvel Universe as The Elders of the Universe. The first Elder seen in the MCU was the Collector in Guardians of the Galaxy. The next Elder we’re slated to meet is Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, so it does appear that Marvel Studios is investing heavily in establishing the Elders as a cosmic force to be reckoned with into the future.

Other new characters introduced in the film are highlighted here, including Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson)…

and

…and Hela (Cate Blanchett).

Included in the photos are old favorites of course. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) looks like mischief is afoot…

…and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) looks happy to see his old Avenging buddy Thor (Chris Hemsworth…duh).

The new photos also include some behind-the-scenes shots of director Taika Waititi doing his directing thing:

Of course, it’s all about the titular character though. THAT’S who we’re waiting to see! And find out what this new haircut is all about!
